Next Level / The Foundation
Before LowKey,
there was Next Level.
Next Level was the three Tate brothers and their cousin Markee Richmond. The group developed in Richmond, California, creating its own music, recordings, and live shows. That self-made foundation led to work with Paul Stewart of Power Move Productions and a defining industry milestone.

Quincy Jones selected Next Level’s “I Don’t Know” to open the 1997 Sprung soundtrack. The moment confirmed something the founders already understood: independent work can reach major rooms when the music, preparation, and opportunity align.
